Boston-Maine To Elmira?

We'll be going through the "outbox" of items of interest to us that have piled up over the last few weeks...one of those items is below.

This article mentions that Pan Am/BMAC is in advanced talks with Elmira Airport.

Allegiant IPO

It's very old news now, but just a thought on the Allegiant IPO:

-A Merrill Lynch lead with Bear Stearns and Raymond James backing was a bit of a surprise to us. From the outside looking in, we thought RJ had a better chance of leading the offering than anybody else. Also surprising is that Morgan Stanley did not get even a piece of this.

-Also, Allegiant does not make it easy to find their S-1. Here it is.

We're Back

Let's start with this article about Skybus. More news will be made public in late June...

Also worth noting is that we hear that their VP Finance has resigned and a CFO still has not been found.

No CFO Yet For Skybus?

That's what we hear. C'mon guys...can't you just contract 10 bean counters from Ryanair and put them on rotating 10 month contracts? lol. Seriously, we hear they aren't respecting the position enough to attract any good candidates. Maybe that will change soon...

BMAC Expansion Delayed...

Due to fuel costs. This is the first item on every airline's excuse list during periods of high fuel costs.

Why did we lose money?
high fuel costs

Why did we curb a/c deliveries?
high fuel costs

why did we suspend growth that we announced just a few weeks ago?
high fuel costs

Anyone else not buying this? Anyone know what the real reason is?

Day Jet and Raymond James

We have to wonder if the IB guys from Raymond James are really working on this or if it is someone else inside RJ.
