BMAC Also Adding BWI

It's not very clear, but it appears it will be TTN-BWI.

It certainly makes us wonder about what happened to the IAD and PIT plans that were supposedly dumped because of fuel costs. If we're not mistaken, fuel is higher now than it was when they announced the IAD/PIT "postponement".

For how long does Pan Am/Boston Maine need to fail to emerge to qualify for coverage in the "Cr*ppy Airlines Monitor" instead of the "Emerging Airlines Monitor"?

Honestly, hasn't PA/BM largely been going backwards the past five years?

Only questions left are how much is ELM paying PA/BM and how long will it take PA/BM to break ELM's heart?

Sorry to post a different topic...erase this after you read it:

Either Festival is going to announce its first market, Apple Vacations is going to connect RFD to PIE, or the purported second Allegiant Florida city is going to be announced:

To add on:

Hooters announced this service August of last year, but to my knowledge, it never happened.

I'm guessing Allegiant on this one. They may be trying to beat Festival to the punch by augmenting their 3rd biggest gateway (RFD), after LAS and SFB.

I am almost certain its going to be Allegiant.

Anyone see the thread in which a source says as many as 25 flights a week to begin in November out of PIE.

No surprise they start with their 3rd largest market to get things rolling.

Concerning RFD, I think the flights to PIE will be on USA 3000 since they alreday fly there and Apple (USA 3000 owner) already flies charters to Cancun out of RFD.

Rockford blogger ....

Proposed PIE flights. No new news in the local media as of mid day Friday 8/4/06. Here is my view at this point, pre any announcement ..

Allegiant - right now the favorite
Are there any PIE rumors going in
any other cities that Allegiant
serves going to Orlando Sanford ?

USA 3000 - Right now the #1 airline
with service to PIE. They have
flown a small handful of charters
out of RFD. Could be either
shifting service from ORD or
adding to service to that which
exists at ORD (O'Hare)

Festival - Most of the rumors have
Festival going to Phoenix to start
but PIE could be another route
for them. Continuing to await
word here on what they are to do
Their web site lists several
Rockford job positions they are
attempting to fill.

By the way ... Hooters did fly to
PIE from Rockford for a short
while last year. I was told the
load factors were 80+ %.

Old G4 news buddy. We've heard about this for months.

What news is old about Allegiant?

I do believe it will be Allegiant, but would not be surprised to hear from Festival in the next week or so.

I also agree I think Phoenix will be the first stopping ground for Festival out of RFD, but think we'll see the Florida runs show up after their intial launch.
