Destination One In the News

Two stories about D1's "delay" of service. Previously it was announced that tickets would go on sale August 1st, not that the first flight would be August 1st. We have seen nothing so far to show that D1 is a business designed to make money for its investors.

Note to Jeff Fonner:

Paragraph 5 in the SJ Mercury News article is a direct example of FAR Part 139 regs.

I am amazed that an airport manager would disclose airfield discrepancies in the press. These are things that you DON'T want the FAA Regional Office to take notice of....signage issues lead to the airport being placed under a regulatory and political microscope. Next thing you know, you are issuing bonds at B level to obtain capital to replace asphalt slabs that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Sounds like the airline, and the airports involved, are sharing blame in an already shady upstart.
